FAQ:
Q: My download isn’t showing up in my email. How long will it take to come through?
A: Most mailboxes will send the download to your promotions inbox rather than your primary inbox! It should show up right away.
Q:Why are my images looking orange or overly saturated when the preset is applied?
A: This is a question I get from people who are using this preset on JPEG files. This preset is made for RAW files, so double check that you’re shooting in RAW and that LR is not converting your RAW files to JPEGs when importing to LR. Another cause may be that some lenses (typically 50 mm) will have some variance in how the preset looks when first applied. If your image looks extra orange, please don’t assume that the preset is not working. Simply drag down the temperature drastically and possibly the orange saturation for a quick fix to this and make additional needed adjustments from there!
Q: Is this a preset for any type of photographer?
A: I recommend this preset to photographers who work with people and who are well versed in Lightroom. Since you’ll be using this preset in lots of lighting situations, there WILL be tweaking necessary and you’ll want some experience to know which adjustments to make. My editing guide will give some general tips and I also include a video where you can watch me edit, but it’s very helpful if you have a good understanding of Lightroom if you plan on using this preset on all of your work.
Q: Can I reach out to you with editing questions?
A: Of course! I’m happy to help if there’s an adjustment you’re trying to make but can’t figure out. When I get questions from photographers, I am typically able to let them know which Lightroom adjustment to make right away!
Q: What do I do if my photos are looking a little pink?
A: This can happen when there is warm light on my subject at sunset and I forget to bring down my Kelvin temperature, and it also can happen indoors when the lighting is super warm - believe it or not, bringing down the temperature will take away the pink hue. You can also ajust the shadow wheel slider and tint slider to help with this.
Q: What do you shoot on?
A: I use a Sony mirrorless camera. Every camera brand produces slightly different color profiles. Please be aware of this as this preset (as well as other presets) will not look identical on every camera type. Before purchasing, please be sure that you are well versed in Lightroom to be able to make any needed color adjustments.
